At first glance, you’ll notice this overall size and feel with the device not being much larger than most car fobs.

Build Quality And Construction

The design and construction of the AP2 give a great feeling in the hands and with a sense of a sturdy and excellent quality feel. The added IP rating makes it waterproof, dustproof and shockproof if this makes the AP2 a very hard-wearing and durable product.

Made from zinc alloy, plastics and having thick silicone seals between the joints of a device makes the waterproof rating clear to see. Combined with a built-in 900 mAh battery this makes it a great daily device.

How To Use The Geek Vape Aegis AP2

Using the Geek Vape AP2 is very easy as there’s no screen to adjust settings and power levels; you simply replace the coils for the pod and refill the pod when needed.

However, there are some different mods you can choose from which allow the device to essentially increase or decrease the power/warmth of the vapor. You can change these by pressing the fire button 3 times and then the device will change the LED colour underneath button 2 to either blue, green or white

This is also dependent on the coil that is installed.

With 5 clicks of the power button device turns on, depending on if you want a mouth to lung or direct to lung will depend on what way the pod goes, is one way round it reduces the airflow making it a tighter draw and simulators the way you would normally smoke the other way round allows more air to flow through the coil allowing it to be more open and less restricted.

However, with the direct to lung orientation of the pod, you may notice an increase in battery consumption; this, however, depends on how often you use the device.

The pod uses the g-series replaceable coils and has been readily available through in-store retailers as well as online.

What Is Daily Usability Like?

The Geek Vape AP2 kit is a really nice small but tough device and it is great to know if it is dropped or even experiences some water on it it will still keep performing.

The included pod with the great easy to use airflow adjustment offers nice and crisp flavors from the G-series coils. We started off with the 0.6-ohm coil and used IVG Forest berries ices with 10mg of salt nicotine and it gave a very nice flavor as well as great vapor production. The built-in 900mAh battery and allowing USB C change make it great and up to date with today’s market.

However, using the device in the high mode (green settings) increases the power consumption and therefore decreases the charge capacity quicker. We got approximately 24 hours out of one charge.

We noticed however when clicking the fire button 5 times to turn the device off it still remains active and can solely use the draw to activate the feature.

The two devices offer very similar features from draw to activate and a small user-friendly design. However, the AP2 is larger and heavier but is more durable with an IP67 tri-proof rating.

The Vaporesso Xross Nano has an easier and more practical design with the adjustment of the airflow with a small control slider on the side of the device.

The Xross Nano also does not use removable coils and instead, uses replaceable refillable pods. The two are sold at similar prices with the AP2 being sold from $30 and the Xross Nano From $35.

Warranty Of The Aegis AP2

Geek Vape offers a 90-day warranty from the date of purchase however this is for the authorized distributors and wholesalers which means this applies to only customers who purchase directly from Geek Vape or an authorized distributor/wholesaler can qualify.

This does not mean you can not claim the warranty, it will just mean that it is a slightly longer process, as you will have to contact the retailer you bought your Geek Vape product from and they will have to contact their supplier on your behalf.
