The Rebel Vape DNA 250c x2 18650 v2 is the redesign of the previous model with a redesign in the button shape as well as making the devices overall profile smaller andeasier to carry. Combined with the devices incredible lightweight design due to the 3d printed polymer material makes it light and sturdy as well as very stylish.

First Glance & Overview

The device is packaged in a 3D printed tube with its brand stamped on one side and a quality control sticker on the top of the lid. It is a very nice touch to have a 3d printed packaging and ties with the brand and theme of the company.

When you remove the top of the tube, you’ll find the device within a soft Once the lid of the cylinder is removed, you’ll see the device inside a soft velvet bag (perfect for keeping the device when not being used), as well as two cards, one with warranty info and the other with a quick troubleshoot instructions for Evolv boards.

A Rebel Vape-branded tank vape band, a Rebel Vape sticker, and a USB cord are also included. Keep in mind that the cable, as well as the extended warranty, are choices when ordering.

The Mod once removed from the pouch is a very small compact dual battery device and you will quickie notice especially if you have never owned a device like this that it is surprisingly light compared to many of today’s big branded devices like the Voopoo Drag 3 even with batteries installed and without.

The buttons on the device are excellent and clicky, and they’re really easy to press, with the updated design the firing button is even easier to press and place your fingers on even in the dark.  Keep in mind that some 3D printed mods may have stiff buttons. This is normal because the print will break in and become more pliable over time and use due to the fresh print and some powder residue.

Build Quality and Construction

Rebel Vape takes great care with the design, construction and materials used in all their devices and is often considered as the most known brand of 3d printed vape devices.

Using a nylon polymer as the case of the device has been a great material to hold as when it is printed it gives a texturized finish to the device but is still smooth to the touch as well as giving a better grip.

Many people claim that they are just plastic mods and that you can get something with the same board for less money, which is partially true. Will a larger company provide the same level of workmanship, lightweight, and support quality? According to many others, especially in recent years, you wouldn’t. They may be a smaller company, but they put more effort into accomplishing their goals and preserving the same standard of service.

There has been some controversy regarding their devices in their early years however we have had many of their devices in the last few years and have had no issues with the devices we have received and this can be confirmed from many customers of theirs most notable with their newer device.

The quality and construction of Rebel Vapes products are truly surprising especially if you have never held a 3d printed device, the weight of the device without batteries is really surprising and is like nothing else, combined with the power output it is a lightweight powerhouse and very versatile as well whether you are a rebuildable user or traditional tank user the Rebel Vape DNA 250c x2 18650 V2 can use it all.

How To Use The Rebel Vape 250c x2 18650 V2

Using an Evolv DNA 250c is just like many other vape devices with the action of some more settings and increased power efficiency.

Powering the device on / waking it up and unlocking it with 5 clicks of the fire button ( this can be configured to be a different combination ) will bring you to the main screen.

You will have 3 buttons under the screen, these 3 buttons are the menu selection buttons with the top out of the 3 being the up/right, the button being the down / left and the middle button the selection button.

With this 3 button, you can navigate through the setting, power and temperature.

With the Escribe software and theme designer, you can also configure and change what the buttons do as well as pre-adjust settings.

You can change the number of clicks to unlock the device or the combination of buttons on the device or in the escribe software

There are several settings to choose from, including watts, watts boost, four temp control modes (nickel 200, titanium, SS 316, and SS 430), Replay (similar to temp control but works with most other coil materials), and kanthal mode, depending on how you vape. Each mode can be customised to meet your specific requirements.

If you browse through the themes for the DNA C devices, you can discover some pretty useful themes that will show you more information on the home screen, such as voltage usage, puff count, amps are drawn and puff length. You can also use the designer that comes with the Evolv Escribe software to put these on yourself.

Daily Usability Of Rebel DNA 250c 18650 V2

With this mod it is more a well-rounded device as it has the ability of 1 – 200 watts from the dual 18650 batteries helping it last some considerable time.

We used this device for 4 months with a mixture of different atomizers attached the first one we used was the Horizon Tech Falcon 2 tank with the 0.14-ohm resistant coils and the wattage set to 75 watts.

The response from the device is instantaneous with little to no ramp-up and power being delivered to the coil without hesitation.

When using a rebuildable atomizer ( The Rye by 99 Wraps ) we had a 0.10-ohm dual coil built in it and had the wattage set to 107 watts this too gave a great performance and as well had no ramp up and gave a rich, warm dense vape, however with increased power being used this did drain the batteries quicker but is not a big deal it is to be expected with any mod.

With a Mouth to lung rebuildable tank (RTA), we used called the QP Gata we had the power set to 25 watts and got 2.5 days from the batteries and also maintained the overall performance.

The consistency of performance, design and how light the device is has been very enjoyable to use and will continue to be used on a daily basis.

With the popularity of the Evolv DNA 250c board, some larger Chinese brands have used the board in their devices, with brands like Lost vape and Dovpo using the DNA 250c and DNA 75c boards.

While both Lost Vape and Dovpo also use their own proprietary board they do not focus on just Evolv DNA powered devices.

The Dovpo Riva is their take on a DNA 250C device powered by dual 18650 batteries however is considerably heavier due to the zinc alloy used for the body of the device and weighing 151 grams without batteries, this is more the double of the DNA 250c x2 18650 V2 by Rebel.

It is a very similar story with lost vape as Dovpo and Lost vape use similar materials. Both brands have seemed to have more focus on producing their own boards recently rather than using Evolv boards.

Rebel Vape’s devices come with a 12-month warranty, with a 24-month warranty available as an add-on. This covers manufacturing faults, as well as any repairs or replacements, but excludes the following.
