The Rhino was released in March 2022 following the release of the well known Vandy Vape Pulse Aio kit.
Here’s How Good The Rhino Kit Is
The Vandy Vape Rhino is designed to be a small form pod kit with replaceable coils which are the same replacement coils as one of the Boro style tanks of the Vandy Vape Pulse AIO. The Rhino has a maximum wattage of 50 watts and a built-in 1200 mAh battery and is aimed at the beginner/starter market.
The Rhino Kit First Glance & Overview
With the styling of the packaging, it is a bit to be desired it looks like an architect drew it however some people may like the style as it is very simple and minimal but gives enough information like wattage, charge type, battery capacity and open circuit protection safety feature with further specifications and features on the back of the box.
Opening the box, you will have each component laid out in the box separated into its own section.
Removing the Rhino from the packaging you will quickly notice the form is very comfortable in the band and it is very light as well. However, more advanced vapers may notice it is not really a pod device and more an all in one / AIO.
Vandy vape called it a pod device but the style of the “pod” is more closely resembling an Aio with the tank being refillable and having a larger range of options of coil replacements in the VVC coil replacements.

Build Quality And Construction
The Vandy Vape Rhino kit is a very well presented and well-built device mainly made from a plastic polymer with a very nice added leather or faux leather panel on both side of the device to add a more ergonomic feel.
The refillable tank that comes with the device has a very easy to fill design and is made from polycarbonate.
The door that covers the tank is held in place with two very strong magnets to keep it in place and does not move.
With many of Vandy vape products, they have continued to release some very sturdy and well-built products.
How To Use The Vandy Vape Rhino
The Rhino is a very simple and easy to use device with a very easy to use interface and not having a load of menus to go through or settings but has a great feature of auto-detecting and suggesting the best power for the coil.
The Rhino simply has 3 buttons, the fire button and an up and down button. The fire button with 5 presses will turn the device on and off and the up and down will control accepting the resistance read from the coil and changing the power level from 5 – 50 watts.
Refilling the tank is very simple as well with no need to even remove it from the device, you simply pull the black silicon tab out of the fill hole and fill the tank up with your chosen e-liquid. Remember to wait a few moments to allow the liquid to soak into the coil.
Once you have added your liquid and let the coil prime you are ready to have your vape, you will quickly notice it is very responsive and depending on the coil option you install can be a powerful device.
Recharging the device is easy as well as it is simply recharged via a USB C port at the bottom of the device.
What Is Daily Usability Like?
Using the Rhino was very enjoyable and is surprisingly easy to use throughout the testing period. It allowed a large range of airflow from mouth to lung, restricted direct to lung and wide open for direct to lung.
With using a 70/30 VG PG liquid by Just Juice called Blood Orange, Citrus Guava and 3 mg of nicotine the Rhino kit gave a real flavour full vape from both the VVc-30 0.3-ohm 30-45w and VVC-90 0.9-ohm 9-16w however with the 0.9-ohm coil it is best to swap to the MTL drip tip or to close off the airflow to your desired amount.
The only thing that there was an issue with is the capacity of the battery with it only being 1200 mAh and with using the 0.3-ohm coil we got a few hours from a full charger and having the power of the device set to 45 watts.
With this in mind, we would use the Rhino as more of an MTL device and have it set to a low power setting, but this is a great small mod for taking with you if you are running around doing errands or popping out for a while and even a great option for those who want to quit smoking with a quick 10-minute vape while at work.

Similar Products To The Rhino kit?
This kit is closer in resemblance to an AIO kit rather than a pod kit with everything being in a neat and tidy form as well as not having the need to replace the pod you simply just replace the coils when needed.
A device that is similar in a few aspects is the Geek Vape Boost is similar, but the tank section is on top rather than being inside. The Geek Vape Boost is a hard waring very durable device with an ip67 rating meaning it is water-resistant, shockproof and dustproof.
The Boost has a built-in battery that holds 1500 mAh and can output up to 40 watts. It too like the Rhino has a small for and a great ergonomic shape and feels while in use.
Rhino VS Aspire Pocket X box
The Aspire Pocket X box kit is a very similar styled kit, and it shares many similarities with the Rhino from mainly being made from hard-wearing plastics and are similar in size.
However, the pocket X box has a larger battery and no controls to change power levels as well as have a submerged coil meaning the coil is attached to the top section of the tank, this allows users to replace the coil without losing liquid.
Without the control of power management, some people may move on from the Pocket X box to something with more power which in today’s market the Rhino is the next step.

Using the Rhino kit has been great with the only issue being the capacity of the battery when using the higher-powered coil, with a small device it is to be expected and why we are saying it is more aimed at MTL vaping rather the DTL, you can do either and it will be great but it’s something to keep in mind.

if you are after a small DTL device just to carry if you are popping out or running around this is a kit for you without a doubt and it works great in a mouth to lung style and comes in a range of different colours as well as being quite affordable.
